Jean-Luc Herrmann is a University Professor and holds the Chair of Persuasive Communication in Organisations. He has been the Director of the European Research Centre for Financial Economics and Business Management (CEREFIGE, University of Lorraine) since spring 2016. His research focuses on the effectiveness of different forms of communication, such as comparative advertising, sponsorship, or product placement, and on the effects occurring in the absence of memory or awareness of the stimuli. They have been published in leading French and international academic journals. A member of the Association Française du Marketing and the Academy of Marketing Science, Jean-Luc Herrmann also serves as Associate Editor of the American Journal of Advertising Research.
